Grease and sludge traps are used to remove vegetable and animal fats, oils and precipitable substances from waste water. Grease traps are there to protect the sewer system and prevent blockages caused by deposits. Degraded products from vegetable and animal substances are extremely corrosive to concrete sewers. EKOTEK grease traps prevent this type of damage using a combination of sludge and grease trap.
